What are the benefits of window tinting?

There are many different benefits of window tinting including heat control, UV protection, safety/security, appearance. Other benefits include increased privacy, glare reduction, improved fuel economy, and improved comfort.

Is window film installed on the inside or the outside?

In order for long-lasting durability, window film is generally applied on the inside of the glass. However some commercial/residential applications require for the film to be installed on the outside of the glass.

I’ve seen window film that is blue or purple. Will that happen with your film?

The films we use are color stable meaning the film will not change color over time. In fact, we’ll guarantee it. Ask us about our 100% Lifetime Warranty.

What kind of film do you use?

Upper Glass Window Tinting isn’t just a fancy name. It’s a way of doing business. We pride ourselves in using only the highest quality window films on the market. That’s why even our most cost-friendly options are generally more expensive than average window films. We don’t buy cheap material! Reason being is that we promise to deliver life-lasting quality and only the best can offer that. We use both carbon-based and ceramic films that are low reflective, non-metalized, signal friendly, and backed with our 100% Lifetime Warranty. All of our window films offer more than 99% UV protection and are color stable.

How is automotive window film applied? Will the process cause any damage to my vehicle?

On vehicles, the film is hand-cut on the outside of the glass then installed on the interior of the glass using a slip solution. All of our blades are stainless steel to ensure the glass on your vehicle is not damaged during the installation process. The slip solution we use is a diluted mixture of baby soap and water. Our window tinting experts are well trained and take all necessary steps to deliver precision-level work. We like to say if a job’s worth doing… It’s worth doing right!

How long will it take to tint my vehicle?

The amount of time our service will take greatly depends on the type of vehicle and the service requested. Generally, a complete car will take anywhere between 2-4 hours. If it’s only the two front windows you are requesting then typically it will only take about an hour. If the service includes removal, this process can take an additional 1-2 hours.

Can I roll my windows down right away after the film has been installed?

In order for your warranty to remain active, you must not roll down your windows for at least 48 hours. However, we highly recommend leaving the windows up for 3-5 days if possible. This allows the film sufficient time to adhere and cure to the glass before the window is moved.

What do the different levels of film mean?

Film percentages stand for light transmission, or the amount of light that is allowed through the film. The lower the percentage, the darker the film.
